TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES is a portable pocket dimension designed to transport viewers into a space of nostalgia. The piece invites us to step back into a time when you could still pet the fuzz on the TV… a time when technology hummed, glitched, and felt…alive.
Inside this curated time capsule, analog relics of the past accent the scene while a video collage of fragmented memories loops endlessly. Hidden within the flicker and feedback are scattered poems in the scene…quiet transmissions waiting to be discovered, read, and absorbed like long-forgotten signals. Are you sure you know the difference between signal and noise…past and present…reality and a dream…?
Viewers are encouraged to interact and distort the picture by holding the back of the remote to the TV screen. If you look around enough, you might even walk away with a hidden souvenir
